Chicken with Potato Curry



Ingredients:
·         Chicken                     6 – 7 pcs
·         Potatoes                    4 – 5 quarter pcs
·         Onions (sliced)          2 medium
·         Joghurt                      4 tbsp
·         Oil                              4 tbsp
·         Black pepper             4 – 5
·         Cumin seeds             ½ tsp
·         Ginger paste             ½ tsp
·         Garlic paste               ½ tsp
·         Cloves                       3 - 4
·         Cinamon                    1 stick
·         Cardimom                  2
·         Red Chilli Powder      1 tsp (heaped)
·         Turmeric Powder        ½ tsp
·         Salt                             1 tsp
·         Coriander Powder      1 tsp (heaped)
·         Fenugreek leaves       1 tsp
·         Coriander Leaves        for garnishing


Method:

Heat the oil. Add onions. Fry until onions are golden brown. Add the ginger/garlic pastes. Fry for a few seconds. Then add yoghurt and the cumin seeds, black pepper , cardamom , cinnamon stick , chilli , coriander and turmeric powders. Mix and cook for a minute or two. Cook until the mixture thicken, add chicken and potatoes and keep on stirring till the mixture coat chicken and potatoes.Add ½ cup water and leave it for 15 – 20 mins.When chicken and potatoes are completely done turn off the stove and sprinkle fenugreek leaves and cover the pot for 5 mins. Dish out and garnish with coriander leaves.Serve with Boiled rice or Cumin rice!
